Dance, choreography, Directing, and Acting. Not knowing what only started as a thought and a simple dream manifested into a living career. Being the only boy that danced in a culture of masculinity and as Latinos put it “machismo” asking my dad for tap shoes was not exactly cheered on. I meet a choreographer by the name of Georgio Fagan and in one class, he stood me up and in front of a room full of dancers and said “he has it, he has the potential to do great things” and thats all it took. His influence changed my entire life and I thank him greatly for turning my light on he gave me strength. I attended UTSA in San Antonio, Texas for three years and in the middle of the semester, I made the decision to move to Hollywood. With the common struggles of a first-time LA native, I found love in training and working toward a life of not only music but a life I never thought I could achieve alone. With my last 20 bucks, I would take a bus from north hills to the edge dance academy and take classes from people I could only dream of being around.
People like Tavaris Wilson, havoc Gregory, Sonya Taye, Kevin Maher, Nolan Padilla, and dare I say Mandy Moore. I continued to use all my strength to get to where I needed to be. I later attended MI theater of art acting school, the longest-running acting conservatory in Hollywood. With Ulumnies such as Marilyn Monroe, Olivia de Havilland, James dean. I began studying acting, combat, comedy, and most of finding more gears that I didn’t know I had. I graduated in 2017 and made sure that during my training, I was working my way thru the dance industry. I have been involved with the boys and girls club for a few years and have found so much LIGHT in helping our youth. We don’t realize how many of them need someone to just let them know they can achieve anything they dream to be. And thanks to them, I have become a better man, along with mentors, creative directors, and influencers I have worked with or just have learned so much from such as the legendary Travis Payne, Wade Robson, and still to check off the list Ms. Loreeann Gibson. I’ve been blessed enough to have worked with artists such as Kesha, Vic Mensa, Ty Dollar sign, the beautiful Jody Watley, Keke Palmer, and most recently Doja Cat. So as a small-town Mexican from Brownsville, Texas I know I have a lot more to achieve and conquer, but ill always remember that no matter how far I go, I’ve already achieved a dream.
Hi! My name is Kassidy Olivarez and I have been in cheerleading and tumbling for over 12 years. I started off in All-Star cheerleading in New Jersey, which is where I grew up. I moved to San Antonio in 2015 where I attended Ronal Reagan High School and made the Varsity cheer team. My team placed 3rd in the Nation at UCA Nationals in 2016. After graduating high school, I then was a cheerleader at UTSA from 2018-2019. We competed in NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL and placed 5th in the nation in 2019. The following year, I was part of the NBA Spurs Hype Squad where my roll was a female coed stunter. I’ve been coaching cheerleading, tumbling, and gymnastics for almost 5 years and have worked with many gyms across San Antonio. Although I will be graduating from UTSA in Fall 2021 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice/ Criminology and a minor in Sociology, coaching cheerleading is a huge passion of mine and I one day hope to open up a gym of my own.
