At Jen’s Dance Spot, we offer a full Cheer, Tumbling & Acro program designed to help dancers and athletes build strength, confidence, flexibility, and proper technique — all inside our separate, professionally equipped tumbling facility located just steps away from our main studio.

Our Cheer, Tumbling & Acro classes are taught in a safe environment with the correct flooring, mats, and equipmentneeded for proper skill progressions.
This facility also supports our winning Alamo Heights Xtreme Allstar Cheer Team, giving all athletes access to a world-class training space.

For safety, our staff walks students between buildings for every class.

Our Facility
A Dedicated Tumbling & Cheer Facility

Our tumbling facility features:

  • Full sprung flooring for joint protection

  • Competition-grade cheer mats

  • A space engineered specifically for tumbling, acro, and cheer technique

  • Supervised transitions between the dance studio & tumbling facility

  • Room for advanced skill progressions & power tumbling

This is one of the only facilities of its kind in the Alamo Heights / San Antonio area — built for athlete safety and proper technique.

Tumbling Classes
Tumbling Classes (Athletic, Power-Based Training)

Our tumbling classes are perfect for dancers, school cheerleaders, beginners, and athletes who want to learn:

  • Cartwheels & round-offs

  • Front & back walkovers

  • Back handsprings

  • Aerials

  • Running tumbling passes

  • Standing tumbling skills

  • Strength, conditioning & body control

Each class follows a clear, safe progression so students build confidence and strength at the right pace.

Acro for Dancers
Acro (Dance-Based Acrobatics)

Acro is different from tumbling.
While tumbling focuses on power skills, Acro blends flexibility, control, strength, and technique with dance movement so dancers can safely incorporate tricks into choreography.

Our Acro classes focus on:

  • Flexibility & extension

  • Core & back strength

  • Balance & controlled transitions

  • Handstands & variations

  • Front & back walkovers

  • Aerial progressions

  • Dance-integrated acro skills (Valdez, side aerials, illusions, etc.)

Perfect for competitive dancers wanting to elevate their technique and performance.

Recreational Cheer

(If you don’t, I’ll remove it. Just tell me.)

Cheer Prep Classes

Designed for dancers and athletes who want to explore cheer basics or prepare for school cheer tryouts.
Students learn:

  • Motions & sharpness

  • Jumps

  • Basic stunts (if applicable)

  • Cheer strength & conditioning

  • Sideline performance skills

 Not the Allstar Team
Please Note:

Our Cheer, Tumbling & Acro classes are open to everyone and are separate from our Alamo Heights Xtreme Allstar Cheer Team, which can be found under the Competition menu.

This page is for classes and training, not the competitive team.

Safety Is Our Priority

To ensure every child is safe:

  • Staff members walk students between buildings

  • Proper flooring + mats are used for every class
